Requestor 3.5 Brings New Extensions of Automations
If you have missed a function in Requestor, which would trigger an action based on the events within the application and defined conditions, you can find it in the administration, under the new “Automatic action” menu item.
By using automatic actions, you can now easily assign the service and the solver, add a label or notes, etc., all without any user’s intervention.
In the administration of Requestor, you can also find the “Automation” menu item. The basic difference between the “Automation” and “Automatic action” lies in the fact that the “Automations” check all requests periodically (every 5 minutes), searching for the requests that meet defined conditions, while the “Automatic actions” are triggered when a certain event occurs – e.g. upon posting a new request.
